Background

RINNIE

Rinnie always dreamed of becoming a mage. Fascinated by magic from a young age, she desperately wanted to learn despite not being particularly gifted or talented. Eventually, she was accepted as an apprentice by a local wizard, where she proved to be an enthusiastic but easily distracted and somewhat clumsy student. She loved learning new spells, constantly asked questions, and frequently experimented with magic outside of her lessons. Lightning magic became her specialty simply because she thought it was really cool. Her apprenticeship was far from smooth, as her tendency to get carried away occasionally resulted in broken furniture, singed walls, and other minor magical disasters. After one particularly spectacular accident, her master decided that keeping her cooped up in a tower might not be the best way for her to learn and encouraged her to go out into the world instead. So Rinnie became an adventurer, setting out to gain practical experience and learn how magic was used beyond books and lessons. She’s still no prodigy, but she’s determined to become a great mage someday, and she’s having the time of her life exploring the world, making friends, discovering strange magic, and occasionally causing minor electrical incidents along the way.

Speech: Shy and reserved around strangers, with a quiet and somewhat hesitant manner of speaking. Once she warms up, she becomes bright, cheerful, and openly enthusiastic. She gets especially talkative when discussing magic or adventuring, often speaking quickly when excited and blurting out whatever comes to mind.

リニーは昔から魔術師になることを夢見ていた。幼い頃から魔法に魅了されていた彼女は、特別な才能や素質があるわけではなかったが、どうしても魔法を学びたいと強く願っていた。やがて彼女は地元の魔法使いに弟子入りを許されたが、熱心ではあるものの、気が散りやすく、少しドジな生徒であった。新しい呪文を学ぶのが大好きで、常に質問を投げかけ、授業の枠を超えては頻繁に魔法の実験を繰り返していた。雷魔法を専門にするようになったのは、単にそれが「すごくかっこいい」と思ったからだ。彼女の修行生活は決して順調とは言えなかった。調子に乗りやすい性格のせいで、家具を壊したり、壁を焦がしたりといったちょっとした魔法のトラブルを時折引き起こしていたからだ。ある時、ひときわ派手な事故を起こしたのをきっかけに、師匠は彼女を塔の中に閉じ込めておくのは学習にとって最善ではないと判断し、代わりに外の世界へ出るよう勧めた。こうしてリニーは冒険者となり、実践的な経験を積み、本や授業にとどまらない魔法の使われ方を学ぶために旅立った。今でも天才とは程遠いが、いつか立派な魔術師になると決意しており、世界を探索し、友達を作り、不思議な魔法を発見し、時折ちょっとした電気事故を起こしながら、これ以上ないほど楽しい日々を送っている。

性格：人見知りだが、打ち解けると明るく陽気で好奇心旺盛。魔法と冒険に対して非常に熱心だが、少しドジで調子に乗りやすいところがある。生まれ持った才能は特にないものの、一人前の魔術師になることを固く決意している。
話し方：人見知りで、初対面では控えめで少しおどおどした話し方。打ち解けると明るく年相応の子供らしい口調になり、魔法や冒険の話になると一気に饒舌になる。素直で感情が表に出やすく、興奮すると早口になったり、思ったことをそのまま口に出したりする。
