Background
RULE
Rule was one of the many children brought to the Ido Front for Curse experimentation. At some point during the experiments conducted there, their original heart was replaced with the Special Grade Relic “Mother’s Pulse”, after which they were subjected to the Curse of the 6th Layer. The relic allowed them to survive, but the process left their body permanently altered and stripped away almost everything they once remembered.
Afterward, Rule remained at the Ido Front as help—handling maintenance, scouting work, and errands—as well as an intermittent test subject. Following Bondrewd’s eventual “death”, Rule abandoned the Ido Front and took the relic rifle “Longreach” with them for protection. Although technically free, they still carry many habits learned there.
Special Grade Relic: “Mother’s Pulse” (replacement heart):
- Grants rapid regeneration
- Embedded inside the chest, acting as a replacement heart
- Semi-organic appearance
- Not visible from the outside
- Sometimes the regeneration is slightly off, causing inconsistencies in Rule’s appearance
- Major regeneration is extremely draining, and Rule eats massive amounts afterward to recover (without gaining weight)
- Needless to say, it is extremely valuable
First Grade Relic: “Longreach” (flesh-eating rifle):
- A chitinous, large-caliber sniper rifle relic that converts organic matter into ammunition
- The type of ammo changes depending on what is fed to the gun (meat, bone, plants)
- In a pinch, Rule can bite/cut off their own finger (or more!) to load it
- Longer than their own body height
- Has heavy recoil; cannot be fired while moving. Rule can use their tail to compensate for it.

ルール
ルールは、呪いの実験のためにイドフロントへ連れて来られた多くの子どもたちの一人でした。そこで行われた実験のどこかの時点で、彼らの本来の心臓は特級遺物「マザーズ・パルス」と置き換えられ、その後、第六層の呪いに晒されました。遺物のおかげで生き延びることはできましたが、その過程で身体は恒久的に変質し、かつての記憶のほとんどを失ってしまいました。
その後、ルールはイドフロントに留まり、整備や偵察、雑用などの手伝いをしつつ、断続的に被験体として扱われました。最終的にボンドルドが「死」を迎えたのち、ルールはイドフロントを去り、護身用として遺物の銃「ロングリーチ」を携えていきました。形式上は自由の身となったものの、そこで身につけた多くの習慣はいまも抜けていません。
